Castlebay
Julia Lane and Fred Gosbee, founding members of Castlebay, have honed their performances as a duo since 1993. Julia studied classical and flamenco guitar, and used the guitar to accompany her singing until 1989 when she taught herself the Celtic Harp. Fred began playing violin, viola, and Irish flute in 1995. Self-taught on the guitar, whistle and flute, he has studied violin, tuba, and string bass, and has played classical and 12-string guitar for over 35 years.
Castlebay's repertoire includes traditional songs and music from Scotland, Ireland and England as well as of the Maine coast. They perform at festivals, concert series, and folk clubs, and teach cultural history through music in schools, libraries, museums, and elder hostels. Because they are so steeped in tradition their original work often "passes" as traditional. Castlebay has recorded over 25 albums.

Elaine O'Rourke
Elaine O'Rourke, together with musician Jim Lounsbury, who plays violin and piano, is a Celtic folk singer-songwriter who enjoys the more obscure and unconventional ways of harmonizing a tune. She has been referred to as a risk-taker and an explorer.
O'Rourke lets out her theatrical side when she performs her originals, Irish ballads or favorite old standards in her cabaret-style shows. She's even been known to break out her feather boa. She's been known to use her music as well as her yoga to work with nursing home residents and children with brain injuries.
